Ingredients

3/4 cup
sugar
1 1/3 cups
olive oil or sesame oil
vanilla — 1 packet
1 tbsp
lemon juice
1 tsp
baking soda
2
eggs
2 tsp
baking powder
3 cups
flour
milk — a little if needed

Method

1
Sift the flour with both raising agents so they are evenly distributed before the wet ingredients go in.
2
Beat the eggs with the lemon juice, half the sugar, and the vanilla. In a second bowl, rub the oil into the flour and remaining sugar.
3
Bring the two mixtures together, adding only a little milk if the dough refuses to come together. You want it smooth enough to roll, not sticky.
4
Roll, cut, and bake on a floured tray at about 350°F/175°C (the source gives no temperature) until the biscuits are set and lightly colored.
